Bit of background, a Tasmanian woman sold her 12 year old daughter out as a prostitute.
I see stories like this everyday in my job and its doesn't get easier to take. Its a pandemic. Some people shouldn't have kids, plain and simple. I'm a hard Dad - I don't beat my kids but I do expect a lot from them, because I want them to succeed. I'm a lot like most parents out there.
These social reprobates, these twisted f**ks, now how do we deal with them?
Lock them up?
The damage is done, the kids are scarred and society pays to keep the defunct "parents" behind bars.
Here's a novel approach. A license. A license to have kids. And just like other licenses for other things, the threat of taking it away.
No drivers license - no car, no gun license - no gun.
No child license, no children. Works both ways too, license to have kids but if you beat them, sell them into prostitution or neglect them you get them taken away.
A busted up car isn't roadworthy and will get you demerit points on your license, same if you beat your kids.
Oh course though, its not a three strikes case here, you beat your kids, you need to resit your license, anger management, and so forth until you can be a responsible parent again. You sell them for sex, you never, ever get a license again, all your kids get taken off you, you get flagged in every government system and you go to jail.
Sex is an adult world event. When children are exposed to it, it seriously causes problems. I see it every day and its the lucky one in every 20 or so who manages to move past it.
In the present situation though, lock them up. Key? What key?
